I went through it really quick, towards the end and it took me a week to get through it because I felt it to be boring and just too much details that really didn't interest me. Just when I thought I had a grasp on what was really going on, another "secret" would emerge, throwing everything I thought I knew was happening out the window. They go on crazy adventures and jump over extreme hurdles like deaths and danger, meeting all sorts of friends as well as foes, all to find this Book of Doom and Desire. The three Walker siblings at the center of the story are threatened by death constantly, and their loyalty to one another is tested; luckily, they always come together in a crisis.

Now folks are dying in that same way, Bible in the chest thing for those with a short attention span. If you like true crime and you can separate yourself from the fact that there are very sick, disturbed and disfunctional people in this world that do horrible things, then you will like this book. I thought this book would have been a good starting point if the editor would have chose to guide and direct the author then it possibly could have been great. Whatever they say solves a part of the jigsaw puzzle, but could not complete the picture, because ultimately there is no clear consensus even on whether it was a crime story. Due to his inexperience with writing novels, Columbus brought in Vizzini to assist in the writing of the novel.
