I can't stand the original Glow but I saw such good reviews about this one that I finally got it and omg this is wonderful!
The fragrance was officially launched at her first Runway Show on February 17, 2005, where she also introduced her "Sweetface" clothing line. I tried wearing MG during colder months as well but got the same outcome so by itself, MG is a fail for me.I remember smelling this 10 years ago and I thought it was one of the best things I had ever smelled. Top notes are Passionfruit, Coconut Milk and Pink Grapefruit; middle notes are Orange Blossom, Cyclamen and Heliotrope; base notes are Vanilla, Musk and Amber.
The scent contains notes of lychee, melon, passionfruit, mandarine, ozone, white cherry, freesia, rose, orange, patchouli, moss, and blonde woods. Winter makes a lot of people sad as it is always gloomy outside but a spray of this is enough to boost your mood and make you think of beachy weather. The sunscreen scent is a little strong but I’ve never hated the smell of sunscreen so I think that’s why I don’t despise this fragrance. There’s nothing challenging or dramatic here, but the inclusion of passionfruit is a unique and quite pleasant touch. I love perfumes like ferragamo incanto shine or lately I fell in love with niche perfumes like Montale (Dark purple, chocolate greed, vanilla cake) and I ve been looking for some fragrance for summer but this is not the one.
It’s gorgeous and perfect for summer nights or days, it smells like going to dinner after being at the beach or the pool all day and having a shower at the resort. Having had a couple of JLo's perfumes before - One and Love At First Glow - I thought I would try Glow, as my sister used to wear it all the time and it smelt great. Down Town is also sharper and that sharpness stays where as this one loses the sharpness after a while and becomes rounder.
If it makes sense, It is a "girl in a O'Neil hibiscus print tee chilling, having a cocktail at the beach bar" type of scent.
