The previous TP-Link vr900v1 had good coverage in the garden (high bars on the devices) but the Fritz 7530 doesn't. The Plusnet router could not cope with VPN for work and would block other connections after an hour or so. When configured as a modem only it would indeed be a bridge, assuming it lets you configure it to be so. Powerline devices with Wi-Fi support are integrated into the home network at gigabit speeds using your home's electrical wiring, so you can also use them outside the Wi-Fi range of your FRITZ!

The customisable features even allow you to set different levels of restriction for children of different ages.

I bought this router in the hope it would solve our need to reboot the Plusnet router many times a day. Enter a name for the VPN connection and fill in the required fields, such as the remote IP address, pre-shared key, and user authentication information. Box router immediately squeezed an extra 3 Mbps out of my FTTC VDSL line and has maintained that since. Two drawbacks I have encountered compared to other routers I've used are that the DHCP address lease time can't be set shorter than 1 day (24 hours) on the main network (although it can be set shorter on the optional guest network if you use that) ; and the wireless access code has to be the same for 2.Clear menus, easy-to-use wizards, and the comprehensive Online Help provide support for any scenario. My previous router was about 10 years old (no doubt with tired electronics) so the sync speeds with the Fritz! Has anybody successfully used the 7530 with Plusnet FTTP and if so, can you let me know where I might be going wrong please? Its real strength, though, is its wide range of additional features, including support for features such as VOIP telephony and network media streaming.
