Night of the Hunter

with the short film 'New Light'

TAPE Community Arts Centre | Saturday 05th Nov, 7:00PM

A religious fanatic marries a gullible widow whose young children are reluctant to tell him where their real daddy hid $10,000 he'd stolen in a robbery.

Join us for the first installation of our community cinema night.

The film will be screened alongside the short film 'New Light', the story of an ordinary man, transforming into something inexplicably extraordinary.

New Light is a film created by Llandudno Junction student Adam Jones who recently received a BAFTA scholarship and is going on to study an MA in Sound Design at the NFTS in January to develop his role as as a storyteller that specialises in post production sound.

You can find out more about Adam Jone and New Light here here.

Is there a film you've never seen on the big screen but have always wanted to? Do you and your friends have a favourite movie which you would love to see in pro HD, hear in 7.1 surround sound whilst sat on plush red leather sofas? Well now you can! The Coastline Sofa Cinema is looking to programme the films you want to see on the big screen.

How will we do it? Well, you suggest the film and we will check the licence is available. We will then create a link on our LocalGiving page to raise the funds for the screening. Once we hit our target, we'll schedule the screening and release the link to reserve seats!

On average it costs us £200 to screen a film in our beautiful 30-seater cinema space, which is an average of £6.60 per seat - cheaper than a multiplex and you can bring your own snacks!

We're looking for our first two films to screen in this way and, thanks to the Welsh Govt, we're just looking for £100 per screening.

So get your suggestions in and watch this space for more news and link to donate.
