This book was absolutely amazing full of fun and excitement and it has lots of funny parts and I definitely recommend this book and it’s helped me learn about homelessness and I think it will help you too👍🏾. Rauf's books tackle challenging subjects and this is no exception, illuminating both the tragedy of homelessness and the power of unseen acts of kindness in our midst. For all that I talked about Hector, it’s the character of Thomas that for me really shines; he is by turns open but guarded, strong but vulnerable, a person not to be pitied but to be sympathised with. Raúf is the founder of Making Herstory, an organisation mobilising men, women and children from all walks of life to tackle the abuse and trafficking of women and girls in the UK and beyond.

I had heard many good things about this author, so I finally picked up one of her books, and it did not disappoint!Spotting an easy win, Hector hijacks the man’s trolley of possessions and aims to hide it in the trees.

I loved Hector's character development and although his behaviour was unacceptable, it was clearly a cry for help due to neglect from his busy parents and a need to be liked, no matter whether that is bad or good attention. Despite the excitement, the adventure is also a way to bring everyone together so that a more important and sobering story can be told.I find I don’t enjoy books with main characters who are all “good” or all “bad”; I am bored equally by both extremes. But it would serve her right for being the worst lunch lady we’d ever had—­always narrowing her eyes and giving us the smallest spoonfuls of the things we wanted, and plonking giant spoonfuls of the things we hated onto our plates. An inspiring and sweet tale that should help children be the best they can be and realise the power of kindness.
