Two doctoral students did their dissertations on the course, and what they found was pretty exciting. They have to learn the mind-sets of a designer—especially radical collaboration and being mindful of process. As someone who works with designers (and lives with one), I found it difficult to suspend my disbelief and accept the idealized vision of designers and design thinking in this book. I liked the reframing of perspective to help you with situations in which you might feel stuck and have to creatively think of new solutions.Most people only focus on improving their career, wealth, health, and relationships - but in reality there are many more areas of life that shape your success, happiness and true fulfillment. Many of us are still looking for an answer to that perennial question, 'What do I want to be when I grow up? I'm sure that some of the concepts are applicable to other areas of life, but learning how to apply them to different areas would require a whole 'nother book.
